The supporting cast at the Buy More, especially Joshua Gomez as Chuck's best friend Morgan, keeps the show grounded in something almost sweet, even when international espionage enters the picture. It's not subtle about what it's doing, but it's done with enough charm and affection that subtlety almost seems beside the point.

Critics respected the show more than they seemed to expect they would. Audiences turned it into a cult favorite that fought for every season, with fan campaigns keeping it alive when NBC wanted to cancel it.
