The premise is familiar—the moral compromise thriller—but "Your Honor" executes it with genuine teeth. Cranston's character doesn't stumble into darkness. It's not revelatory television, but it's sturdy and it doesn't flinch from the damage its protagonist causes to everyone around him, which counts for something.
