What is Love about?

The chemistry between Jacobs and Rust gives the show its spine, and supporting characters like Claudia O'Doherty's buttoned-up British roommate Bertie provide necessary counterweight to Mickey and Gus's gravitational pull toward disaster.

Love occupies an odd position because it refuses to choose between comedy and drama with any consistency, but that instability is actually its strength. It's not as clever as you want it to be and not as emotionally substantial as it sometimes pretends.
