It just... acknowledges that being right about something nobody cares about is its own punishment.

Invader Zim developed a devoted following that persisted long after its cancellation, and the IMDb score reflects genuine affection from people who watched it as kids and rewatched it later. Critics at the time recognized something unusual was happening in what was ostensibly a children's program.
