The action sequences are clean and shot to be understood. The show told a complete arc about Clint Barton passing the Hawkeye mantle to Kate Bishop, and once that story concluded, there was nothing left to tell.

The show's modest ratings (it was among Disney+'s more modest performers) and its critical reception around 7.4 on IMDb suggest audiences found it pleasant enough but not essential. Yet ratings alone didn't kill it because it was never pitched as an ongoing series.
