Netflix audiences and critics have responded positively to the series, drawn to its central moral question and the way Worthington carries the weight of a falsely convicted man without turning the character into a revenge fantasy. The mystery itself keeps viewers invested across eight episodes without overstaying its welcome. It lands in that reliable space of Harlan Coben adaptations: familiar enough in structure that viewers know roughly what to expect, but specific enough in its execution that it does not feel like pure formula.
