Predictive Logic Analysis
Poles of Earth: On the Road has aired 10 seasons across iQiyi since 2018, making it a core franchise for the platform. The show's TMDB status lists it as a returning series rather than ended or cancelled, which is the baseline indicator that production or renewal discussions are still active. No credible cancellation reporting has emerged, and the seven-year run on a single streamer demonstrates that iQiyi has found value in the series. Documentary reality formats typically have longer post-production windows than scripted shows, so nine months between the final episode and now is not unusual or alarming.
iQiyi's renewal patterns suggest patience with established documentary franchises, particularly those that build international viewership around a recognizable premise. Without direct renewal signals, the assessment rests on the absence of negative news and the show's proven longevity. The lack of any cancellation reporting, combined with the returning-series label, tilts the balance toward likely renewal, though the absence of an explicit announcement creates genuine uncertainty.
What is Poles of Earth · On the Road about?
Poles of Earth: On the Road is an ambitious documentary series that follows adventurers and explorers as they traverse some of the planet's most extreme and remote environments. The show's central appeal lies in its commitment to genuine expedition filmmaking—rather than manufactured drama, viewers are invited to witness real challenges, unexpected discoveries, and the raw human experience of pushing toward Earth's poles and beyond. For audiences drawn to authentic adventure and natural spectacle, the series offers a window into landscapes and journeys most will never attempt firsthand.
The program distinguishes itself through a documentary approach that prioritizes visual immersion and genuine storytelling over sensationalism. Each season takes viewers to genuinely hazardous terrain—polar regions, high-altitude peaks, and isolated wilderness areas—where the inherent drama emerges from the environment itself and the explorers' determination to reach their destinations. The show's longevity across ten seasons suggests it has found a sustainable formula that resonates with viewers seeking substantive, location-based programming rather than reality television theatrics.
Since its 2018 debut on iQiyi, Poles of Earth: On the Road has established itself as a notable entry in the documentary adventure space, accumulating 122 episodes that demonstrate consistent audience engagement across seven years. The series' extended run and return status indicate it has cultivated a dedicated viewership within the Chinese streaming ecosystem and beyond, maintaining relevance in a competitive documentary market by continuously pursuing new expeditions and exploration narratives.
The show occupies a meaningful niche within adventure documentary programming, appealing to viewers who value scientific curiosity and genuine exploration alongside visual grandeur. Its cultural footprint extends particularly within communities interested in travel, environmental storytelling, and the intersection of human ambition with Earth's most unforgiving places, solidifying it as a significant contributor to contemporary documentary television on streaming platforms.

Working toward renewal
TMDB returning-series status indicates no active cancellation
10-season run on iQiyi demonstrates platform investment and audience retention

No explicit renewal announcement or credible renewal reporting
IMDb rating unknown, limiting audience-reception assessment
Poles of Earth · On the Road Season 11 Release Date
Without confirmation of a season 11 greenlight, any release date is speculative. If renewed, a 9-to-12 month gap between the last episode and a new season announcement would align with iQiyi's typical documentary production and promotion cycles. The next episode, if commissioned, is unlikely to arrive before late 2025 or early 2026, assuming standard post-production for a reality/documentary series. More information would be available through iQiyi's official announcements or entertainment trade reports.
