She decides to rewrite her own narrative by pursuing the one person in her world who also seems aware something is wrong: a mysterious boy known only as Number 13. The show takes this setup seriously as both romantic comedy and existential crisis, which sounds contradictory until you watch it work.

The tone is deliberately uneven, which is the point. One scene will play as broad physical comedy, the next as genuine melancholy about the terror of having no control over your own life. Kim Hye-yoon commits to every emotional register her character demands, and Rowoon plays Number 13 with an effective blend of deadpan detachment and vulnerability. The show's visual style leans into the webtoon source material with freeze frames, stylized transitions, and moments where the camera acknowledges the artificiality of the world these characters inhabit. It's playful without being insufferable about it.
