When Does De Bennies Season 2 Come Out? Is It Renewed?

What is De Bennies about?

De Bennies arrives as a refreshingly unfiltered weekly gathering where three prominent Dutch content creators use conversation itself as the main event. Rather than chasing celebrity guests or manufactured spectacle, Enzo Knol, Noël Dekkers, and Thijs van Woerkum simply show up at interesting venues each week to talk through whatever's actually on their minds—relationship troubles, career anxieties, pop culture hot takes, and the kinds of messy personal moments that usually get edited out of polished media. The appeal lies in this commitment to genuine rapport; these are people who clearly know each other well enough to disagree without tension and laugh without trying, which creates the kind of easy listening experience that has made podcast culture such a dominant force among younger audiences.

The show's strength rests in its tone of casual irreverence balanced with actual emotional honesty. There's no rigid format forcing each episode into a predetermined shape, no obligatory segments or games that feel mandatory. Instead, De Bennies captures the feeling of being invited into a conversation between friends who happen to have significant platforms and reach. The rotating location element adds texture without demanding theatrical presentation—these are environments chosen to be personally meaningful rather than Instagram-ready. This approach sidesteps the slickness that often makes interview shows feel transactional, replacing it with a genuinely social energy that feels more like eavesdropping on quality hangout time.

With 56 episodes across its first season and a return order confirmed, De Bennies has clearly found an audience that values this brand of unstructured, personality-driven content. The show's continued momentum reflects broader audience preferences for authenticity over production value, particularly among viewers fatigued by more manufactured entertainment. Its weekly Friday slot and YouTube distribution position it squarely within the digital-native podcast ecosystem, where algorithmic promotion and subscriber loyalty matter more than traditional metrics. De Bennies represents a particular moment in content creation where the mere fact of three interesting people consistently showing up to talk has become counterprogramming against everything trying too hard.
