Predictive Logic Analysis
The show has been off the air for nearly three and a half years with no public renewal announcement from iQiyi or the production team. For a reality series on a streaming platform, this timespan is well beyond the typical renewal window. Chinese streaming platforms tend to move quickly on reality programming and often cycle through titles rather than maintain long hiatuses. The TMDB designation of "Returning Series" may simply be a default classification and does not constitute evidence of planned continuation.
iQiyi's track record with reality and lifestyle shows is mixed. The platform will renew hits, but it also abandons underperforming titles without much fanfare, especially if they have been absent for multiple years. The total episode count listed as 1 may be a metadata error (a reality show with 5 seasons likely has more than one episode), which raises questions about data reliability for this title in English-language databases. Without access to Chinese-language sources or iQiyi's internal renewal decisions, the actual status remains ambiguous, but the 43-month silence is a strong negative signal.
What is 《种地吧》 about?
"Let's Farm" invites viewers into the rhythms of rural agricultural life, where a cast of participants trade urban convenience for the authentic challenges and rewards of working the land. The show's central appeal lies in its documentation of genuine transformation—watching people grapple with the realities of farming, from soil preparation to harvest, offers both practical education and the universal satisfaction of tangible accomplishment. By grounding the narrative in real agricultural cycles rather than manufactured drama, the series taps into a broader cultural curiosity about sustainable living and reconnection with natural processes.
The program distinguishes itself through an observational, unvarnished approach to reality television. Rather than relying on competition or conflict for engagement, it builds narrative momentum through the slow accumulation of effort and incremental progress. This methodical pacing allows viewers to develop genuine investment in outcomes—whether a particular crop will flourish, how team members will adapt to physical labor, whether initial incompetence will yield to competence. The tone balances authenticity with accessibility, making agricultural knowledge engaging even for audiences with no farming background.
The show has cultivated a dedicated following across iQiyi's platform, where audiences have responded to its departure from conventional reality television formulas. Rather than pursuing viral moments or manufactured conflict, "Let's Farm" has built its reputation on sincerity and the inherent drama contained within actual agricultural work. This approach has resonated particularly with viewers seeking content that feels both grounded and genuinely instructive, establishing the series as a notable entry in the reality television landscape.
Within the broader ecosystem of reality programming, "Let's Farm" occupies a distinctive space that prioritizes process over spectacle. Its longevity—now in its fifth season—suggests the show has successfully identified an audience appetite for slower-paced, education-adjacent content that celebrates ordinary achievement. The series represents a significant cultural footprint in demonstrating that reality television need not depend on interpersonal drama to sustain viewer engagement.

《种地吧》 Season 25 Release Date
If the show were renewed, an announcement would likely have already appeared by now given the years-long gap. Any new season would probably not air before late 2024 or 2025 at the earliest, but there is no indication that production is underway or planned. The platform may simply have moved on to other content. Without a confirmed renewal or official announcement, a release date cannot be estimated.

AI Verdict
《种地吧》has not been renewed despite 43 months passing since the last broadcast in January 2023. The absence of any renewal announcement, combined with the long dormancy and iQiyi's history of quick cancellation decisions on reality programming, suggests the show is likely concluded. However, a formal cancellation statement has not been publicly reported, leaving some uncertainty.
